Our Vision
MOSAIC aims to bring students and faculty together to raise awareness and actively address the health disparities faced by vulnerable persons. Through collaborative community outreach, we celebrate our unique blend of backgrounds, experiences, and cultures.
Established in 2016, MOSAIC has left a positive mark on communities worldwide. Both faculty and students dedicate their time to serving underprivileged individuals through international and domestic service trips.

Our volunteers learn beyond the confines of a classroom. The students are given the opportunity to make a tangible difference by dedicating their time and skills to assist those who need it most.
Our volunteer professors go beyond textbooks to teach students the importance of social responsibility. They show students how their technical skills can make a positive impact on the lives of the less fortunate.
Mosaic volunteers have impacted the lives of thousands through service trips to China, The Philippines, Laos, Thailand, Nepal, Puerto Rico, and even a Hurricane Harvey relief effort in Houston, TX.
The founding chapter of MOSAIC at the University of Texas School of Dentistry (UTSD) features two main initiatives - Student Community Service Projects and Faculty Greeting Dinners. Every quarter, UTSD faculty gather to welcome new members, savor international cuisine, and learn more about the MOSAIC community service projects.
At the heart of MOSAIC is inclusiveness - it's our unifying force. Universities draw students, faculty, and visitors from across the globe. The chance to serve side-by-side fosters mutual understanding, respect, and appreciation.
Students and professors work together beyond the typical classroom environment to offer healthcare to patients. Through serving their communities, these projects improve students' understanding of other cultures and build strong connections for future community partnerships.
We unite individuals with a service-oriented mindset to understand each other better and utilize their skills to improve the lives of vulnerable populations, including individuals with intellectual disability. Groups of our student volunteers bring medical services to those who might not otherwise have access.
A delightful and delicious way to embrace the cultural variety of their local community, Mosaic faculty gather quarterly to enjoy dinners at restaurants featuring international cuisine.
Mosaic relies on strategic partnerships to provide students and faculty with unique opportunities to serve. With our origins in the International College of Dentists, Mosaic has expanded its network of partners to include both domestic and international organizations, such as the Special Olympics.
